New Mariners Hospital now open in Tavernier!!
Mariners Hospital has finally taken up residence in its new building next to Tavernier Town. Expanded new facilities include a new heliport. MM 91

Islamorada now deciding on unincorporation
After a short lived incorporated "Village of Islands" status, Islamorada residents are now trying to decide on whether or not to keep incorporation. Problems over garbage contracts and a new park have left residents & local business people in a quandry.
